We just had a great online class series, Horses and Land Management, during the month of January that was well received—and fun! Participants learned the basics of mud, manure, and pasture management with lots of options for implementing chore-efficient changes on their horse properties. There were participants from Texas, Michigan, California, Oregon, and Washington.
During February, and again in May, we are offering some new online workshop options, this time covering specific topics, such as:
-
Ways to reduce chemical use when combatting flies, weeds, or other pests.
-
Creating enrichment opportunities for your horses by making track paddocks and slow feeders available to them.
-
Ways to build and set up a small-scale trail course at your place.
-
Making a guilt-free, outdoor wash rack, and other ways to conserve water.
-
Reducing your farm’s risk for wildfire damage plus preparing a solid evacuation plan that is relevant and accessible if the need arises.
You can find out more about these new workshops on our event page. Registration is limited to 20 participants so that everyone can get their questions answered. Register early to reserve your spot!
